How to Play Blackjack
Objective: Beat the dealer without exceeding 21.
Gameplay:
- Hit: Take another card to try to improve your hand.
- Stand: Keep your current hand and end your turn.
- Insurance: If the dealer’s up-card is an Ace, you may place an insurance bet (usually half of your original bet) that the dealer has blackjack. If they do, you win the insurance bet; if not, you lose it.
- Double Down: Double your bet and receive exactly one more card.
- Split: If your first two cards are the same rank, you can split them into two separate hands, playing each with an additional bet equal to your original wager.
The dealer must hit until reaching at least 17 (including soft 17).
If your hand exceeds 21, you bust and lose your bet.
At the end of the round, the hand with the highest total (without busting) wins.
